Ikke Hipgold (47) starts the new year with a huge milestone! The German musician has made a name for himself as a party pop singer over the course of his career: The Limburg native is particularly successful at Ballermann with his hits such as “Big Boobs, Potato Salad” and “Rhein, Inn, Main, Po”. Now he is also achieving a triumph in the mainstream: he is the first Ballermann star Ikke reached first place in the charts with his album called “Number One”!
The singer celebrates this great success on his Instagram profile. “The first number one album in German music history from the party hit genre,” says Matthias Distel happily – how Ikke real name is – on the photo platform. He also looks back on the beginning of his career in a totally emotional way: “What began 15 years ago with a bet is now reaching its climax!”
The former ESC participants Lord of the Lost landed at number two in the German album charts with their record “Weapons of Mass Seduction”.
