Have you ever noticed this detail in Gooische Vrouwen?

Dry autumn leaves or a heavy rain shower? They don’t know that in the Gooi.

Our dream has come true: this year Gooische Vrouwen will return to TV with a new season. The recordings start next month, and that’s not without reason. The series is always recorded in the spring, and for a very special reason.

Hit series returns

For five seasons we were able to enjoy the ups and downs of Cheryl (Linda de Mol), Claire (Tjitske Reidinga), Anouk (Susan Visser), Willemijn (Annet Malherbe) and Roelien (Lies Visschedijk). From romance to bombings and from designer shoes to very expensive villas: we thoroughly enjoyed the original series.

We couldn’t believe our luck when Talpa officially confirmed at the end of November that the hit series will return. “In collaboration with Videoland, we are working on a new season of the hit series Gooische Vrouwen, based on an idea by Linda de Mol and directed by Will Koopman. After the enormous success of the TV series and two record-breaking cinema films, the four popular friends from Het Gooi will shine on the small screen again at the end of 2024,” the company told RTL Boulevard.

Always nice weather

It was recently announced that filming will start in April. And that moment was not randomly selected, says journalist Rob Goossens in The BLVD Podcast. “It must always be green in the Gooi,” is his explanation. “They can only film when there are leaves on the tree.”

And indeed: when we think back to the endless episodes of Gooische Vrouwen that we have devoured, we can think of few moments when the sun did not shine. Miraculously, the weather was always nice in the Gooi and the gardens were in full bloom. That was clearly not a coincidence, because all seasons appear to have been recorded in the spring. Of course, this does not always guarantee good weather in the Netherlands, but a huge budget for the necessary lamps will have contributed to this.
