It is of course best to clean the oven every time after use. This prevents dirt and food residues from building up that can no longer be easily removed later. However, in practice things often work differently and you don’t always feel like cleaning like this. The annoying consequence is that the oven is a lot more difficult to clean if it has not been cleaned for a while. At least, until we came across this tip from TikTok user Mama Mila.
Clean while you sleep
It may sound too good to be true: cleaning the oven while you sleep. Yet it really is possible. Mila applies a mix of different products on and in her oven, just before she goes to sleep. While the woman is snoring, the cleaning agent can soak in the oven overnight. Et voilà, the next morning the oven is sparkling clean again!

This is how you work
To start, make a combination of baking soda, dish soap and water. “To clean your oven while you sleep, you need a teaspoon of baking soda, a tablespoon of dish soap and a little bit of water,” the TikTokker explains. “Mix these ingredients together until you get a paste-like substance and then apply a thin layer of this in your oven. When you wake up the next day, wipe your oven with a cloth and remove the paste.”
To top it all off, the woman advises spraying some white vinegar through the oven. “So you can be sure that all the dirt and grease is gone.” Easy, right?
