Varicose veins

If you suffer from varicose veins, there is a good chance that you are not happy with them. Most people don’t like the way it looks and it can also cause physical problems. However, treating varicose veins is very simple nowadays and can be done through an outpatient treatment where you hardly notice anything. Which is quite a difference from the past.

There are different types of treatments available to rid you of varicose veins, ranging from endovenous laser treatment to a phlebectomy. The endovenous laser treatment in particular is fairly new, in which a laser shrinks the varicose vein so that the vein can then be broken down by the body itself.

Fungal nails

Fungal nails are an annoying condition that is unfortunately more common than you might think. If you suffer from this, you are certainly not the only one, nor the only one for whom home, garden and kitchen remedies do not work well enough.

However, it is important to treat this infection properly, for example with laser treatment or effective anti-fungal medications.

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids sometimes go away on their own, but unfortunately this is not always the case and they can also cause a lot of discomfort. For example, a thrombosed hemorrhoid can cause a lot of pain and even burst.

Hemorrhoids can be caused by all kinds of causes, from pregnancy to standing for too long, and even from retaining stools.

Although it is not dangerous in most cases, there is also a very simple treatment called a thrombectomy. The treatment takes about fifteen minutes and is performed under local anesthesia.

Excessive sweating

Sweating is normal and it is a way in which your body cools itself. However, excessive sweating can be very annoying, for example if you always have clammy hands or if you can only wear a shirt for half a day.

It is important to first find out whether you actually suffer from excessive sweating, also called hyperhidrosis. After the diagnosis, you can choose a treatment to reduce sweating.

This is possible by injecting Botox as well as the American MiraDry method, which almost always includes permanent results.

Excess hair

Excess hair can have negative consequences for your self-image and at the U-Clinic they are specialized in treating this. This concerns both unwanted hair growth and excessive hair growth.

During the consultation, the doctor will examine what type of excess hair is involved and how something can be done about it.

In addition to electric epilation, it is also possible to treat excess hair with IPL, which is especially effective for hair that is dark in color and contains a lot of melanin.
