Is Bo a bridezilla, or is that not so bad?
It all started in the distant past, the year 2008. Spacious villas, expensive cars and extravagant parties: the reality series Echte Gooische Meisjes in a nutshell. These girls have now grown into adults and continue their lives as successful business women, loving mothers and committed partners. We are of course talking about Real Gooische Mothers Paulien, Florine, Leslie, Kim and Bo.
Wedding
She may be last in the list above, but certainly not the least. Bo Wilkes has big plans for her future. What is currently in focus is the wedding with fiancé Paul. The two will tie the knot in sunny Santorini at the end of this year. How does the real Gooische mother prepare for this? Completely in style of course!
Hubby’s wish
In Grazia’s Beauty Issue, Bo says that getting married had been her fiancé’s wish for a long time. “Getting married had been on Paul’s wish list for some time. Yet we deliberately postponed the wedding. The children came, a move was planned and now it’s suddenly eight years later. In addition, I find it quite exciting to tie the knot! After all, the entire weekend is all about me,” says the bride to be.
Sunny Santorini
The beautiful couple has decided to find a sunny destination for the wedding, namely the Greek island of Santorini. Organizing such a special day takes quite a bit of time. “We have now experienced that a wedding abroad poses some challenges,” Bo admits. “Greeks generally don’t speak English very well and while selecting the flowers, I discovered that they have a completely different taste,” she explains. “I will soon fly to Santorini for a shoot that was already planned. Can I immediately take the opportunity to complete the last things on my to-do list?” That’s a good time!
The special day
The reality star wants to keep control, but keeps a cool head. “I’m a chill bride, I think. Everything has to be well taken care of, but I don’t pay attention to every detail. It doesn’t really matter to me whether the napkins are white or pink. Music does play an important role during the wedding,” she admits. “Paul and I have selected songs that have special meaning to us. When it comes to music, we leave nothing to chance.”
Until then, Bo can fully dream of the big day, where they want to give their three children an important role. “I am most looking forward to the moment when our three children Boyd, Julie and Loulou come to deliver the rings. They are our greatest bond and now finally old enough to consciously experience it. The fact that we will all have the same last name will make it complete.” How sweet!
