In sunny Greece, a real soap opera unfolds around Iris, the charming B&B owner who is looking for love. Although Iris and Jan seemed to have found each other, Peter now seems to throw a spanner in the works. Drama all around, because there are rumours that Peter might not even be single!
Iris is increasingly drawn to Peter
It must hurt Jan to see how Iris is increasingly drawn to Peter. But, Jan is used to some pain. In addition to the love affairs in Greece, his four children also give him the necessary headaches. Okay, maybe not really crying fits, but let’s call it a great sense of loss.
Jan’s children
“They all live abroad,” writes weekly magazine Story. “Daughter Roxanne lives in Sydney, where she is married and works for a financial institution. Son Joshua also lives there and runs his own record label. Daughter Suzi works as a model and is affiliated with a Japanese agency. And son Jonathan travels all over the world, except in the Netherlands.”
Jan’s past as a textile baron
Jan himself also spent some time abroad. As the big boss of the internationally operating company Synergy Textiles, he once emigrated to Australia. He lived there for no less than 30 years! He only returned to the picturesque Hellevoetsluis at the age of 60, where he practically had to start over in terms of social contacts.

In B&B Vol Liefde Jan describes himself primarily as an avid sailor. But behind that tough, seasoned guy there is of course also a man of flesh and blood. One who yearns for connection, affection and of course… true love!
More problems with children
Jan is not the only one who has the necessary struggles with his kids. His bond with his four children is fine, but he just doesn’t see them often. With Malgosia it is very different. She speaks proudly about her daughter Nathalie, but her son is not mentioned at all in B&B Vol Liefde. Ouch! According to Malgosia she only has one child, while there are really two… Painful! The reason her son is being kept quiet? It seems to have to do with a considerable amount that mother Malgos still has to pay back to him.
