This is Princess Caroline’s favorite perfume

Just like her mother!

Of course we know that Princess Caroline has a great love for everything Chanel. Although you might expect her favorite perfume to be the classic No.5, it turns out to be very different!

Chanel is what counts

As a best friend of the late Karl Lagerfeld with a Chanel ambassador as a daughter, we almost never see Princess Caroline leave her palace without at least one piece of Chanel on her body.

But if we are to believe various media, the Princess of Hannover does not choose the scents of her favorite label. No, the royal would have lost her heart (and nose) to the scent Gardenia Passion by Annick Goutal.

Floral

According to Spanish Marie Claire, the fragrance has top notes of gardenia and jasmine, with a heart of tuberose and orange blossom, and a base note of vanilla. Sweet, floral, and very affordable, with a price of around €200 per bottle.

Option two

The princess is also said to be a big fan of the perfume Fracas, by Robert Piguet. This also shows that the highness has a clear preference for floral, sweet scents. The top notes of Fracas consist of mandarin, hyacinth, and white flowers, with middle notes of jasmine, Bulgarian rose, gardenia, neroli, tuberose, orange blossom and violet. However, this fragrance has a spicy undertone with base notes such as vetiver, sandalwood, and musk. A bit floral, a bit spicy, a touch of mystery with an elegant touch – perfect for Caroline, nun?

In the footsteps of Princess Grace

The princess does not seem to have acquired her preference for floral scents from a stranger. Princess Grace worked with Creed perfumers especially for her wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco. This is how the scent Fleurissimo was created, which is still a favorite with many (including Madonna, Vogue Australia reports).

This perfume also contains quite a few floral scents – from iris and violet to (there it is again!) tuberose. Princess Caroline’s favorite perfumes appear to carry a good dose of nostalgia!
