Will Christina Block remain free despite a Europe-wide arrest warrant?

What consequences does Christina Block face? Since this week she has been keeping the German media in suspense: the steakhouse heiress is said to have arranged for her two children to be kidnapped from Denmark. There they celebrated New Year’s Eve with her father, the entrepreneur’s ex-husband, with whom she has been at loggerheads for years. A Europe-wide arrest warrant is said to have been issued against her. But he will go to prison Christina probably not coming.

“Christina Block is expected to remain at large,” reports RTL. Instead, the mother of multiples has to adhere to tough guidelines: “She will have to report regularly and closely to the German authorities and announce her whereabouts. What that means for the children remains to be seen.” In Germany, the “Blockhouse” heiress is not necessarily committing a crime: according to a court order in this country, she has the sole right of residence for her children.

What exactly happened on New Year’s Eve? The two children are said to have been dragged into a car in front of their father. Christina has now confirmed that the two are currently with her in Hamburg. She has been arguing with her ex over custody of three of their four children for years. In August 2021, Stephan Hensel did not bring her back after a trip to his adopted home of Denmark.
