As the beauty herself revealed, she suffered from alcohol addiction for several years until she finally went through withdrawal. Since then she has been abstinent. Now celebrate Lucy with a personal post about the past two years without alcohol.
“This is still the greatest gift I have given myself,” the 34-year-old wrote on Instagram, adding: “I am so grateful for another year full of growth, growing pains, experiences, joys and self-knowledge.” In the post, the beauty also emphasizes how the decision to stop drinking changed her life. “Being able to show up as myself and be greeted with such warmth and acceptance is something I don’t take for granted,” she explains.
Spoke a few weeks ago Lucy on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast about her first experiences with alcohol. “I had a blackout […]. I don’t remember what happened, I threw up, I felt very sick,” she vaguely remembers an experience when she was just twelve years old. “I [war] so desperate when I realized what had happened.”
