“2024 will be a great year,” the singer said.
Last month, Douwe Bob posted a message on Instagram stating that he would be away for a while. The singer is said to have been admitted to a rehab clinic to work on his alcohol addiction. Douwe now seems to be doing better, because he is back home.
Incident
Things went terribly wrong for Douwe at the end of November. A Saturday evening in Abcoude would have gotten completely out of hand. Douwe Bob hit someone on the helmet while under the influence of alcohol. Initially it was said that this would have involved a 16-year-old person, but according to Douwe himself that was not true. “I see everywhere that I fought with a 16-year-old. This is not true,” Douwe wrote on Instagram. The person is said to be ‘in his late 20s’. He continued: “I am far from proud of this, but it is a significant difference.”
Withdrawal
According to Douwe, the cause of the incident was due to his alcohol problem. He brought flowers to the person in question and then checked himself into rehab for a month. “I’m really going to straighten this out,” he said. That month is now over and Douwe is feeling much better.
Last week he spoke from the clinic. “2024 will be a great year,” he wrote on Instagram. In any case, Douwe will start the new year from the Netherlands, because the recording is over. “Back home ❤️,” he writes in the caption of a sweet photo of him and his son.

The singer can count on a lot of support, as is evident from the many reactions. “What a beautiful end to 2023. 👏,” responds a follower. And: “Happy for you Douwe! 🙏🏽”, it sounds.
