She has her reasons. At the age of ten, Emma Watson (33) appeared in front of the camera for the first time – as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, she became a worldwide star. After the last part was filmed, she was seen in numerous films such as “Beauty and the Beast”. But she hasn’t worked as an actress for around four years. Reveals why she took a break Emma now.
In an interview with British Vogue, the 33-year-old talks about her reasons for withdrawing from the spotlight. “I feel like I have my own voice and my own creative space and I’m confident in a way I didn’t have before – more autonomy,” explains Emma. In the meantime she is dedicating herself to other projects: Emma studied at Oxford University, among other places, and also enjoys working behind the camera.
The time out can Emma at least you can afford it well. According to Just Jared, she received around 3.7 million euros for “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”. In the seventh and eighth parts she was able to look forward to a proud sum of 13.8 million euros.
