This week, Guillaume was appointed as lieutenant representative (stadtholder) of Luxembourg. This is a first step towards succeeding his father as grand duke. Exactly when this will happen is still a secret, but it is clear that something is going to change in Luxembourg. If Guillaume becomes Grand Duke, Stéphanie will become Grand Duchess and we will see her more often. Stéphanie de Lannoy was born on February 18, 1984 and grew up in Belgium. She comes from a very old Belgian noble family and is a countess. After high school, she studied in Russia and Germany and then went to work for an investment company in Belgium. She and Guillaume have known each other for some time, but the story goes that the spark flew at a noble ball in Belœil, in Hainaut, Belgium. On April 26, 2012, it was announced that Stéphanie and Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg were engaged. The civil wedding will take place on October 19, 2012 and the church wedding will take place a day later. Stéphanie and Guillaume are now the proud parents of two sons.

Stéphanie may not be known as a fashion queen, but Stéphanie certainly has a number of gems in her closet. Time to list her best looks.
Let’s start with her lace wedding dress from Elie Saab. It took a whopping 3,900 hours to make the dress. The wedding dress itself has a 2.5 meter train, but at her waist there was an even longer 4.5 meter train. This produced beautiful pictures.
Stéphanie continues to shop at Elie Saab after her wedding. She now has several gala dresses from the Lebanese designer in her closet. Stéphanie likes to opt for lace evening dresses or dresses with draperies, sequins or embroidery. This beautiful dress has it all:

In the early years, Stephanie experiments a lot with her hairstyles and hair decorations. Hairdresser Tom Marcineau from Maison Carita (Paris) is often responsible for the metamorphosis.
