Pop star Kylie Minogue has announced she will tour again in 2025. This tour will revolve around the singer’s latest album called Tension. But she doesn’t stop there. This month she will release a sequel to Tension called Tension II.
Kylie Minogue is back
Kylie Minogue was one of the biggest pop stars of the ’90s and ’00s. We didn’t hear from her for a while, until she released the hit Padam Padam in 2023. This was the lead single from the album Tension. After the success of Tension, Kylie is releasing a follow-up to the album. The album will consist of thirteen songs and will be released on October 18. The new album features several collaborations with well-known artists such as Sia, Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo and even Madonna. The lead single from the album is called Lights, Camera, Action and can be heard everywhere since yesterday.
Tension Tour
A new album is often followed by a tour and that is also the case now. In 2025, Kylie Minogue will embark on her Tension Tour. Tour dates have currently been announced for Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom. It is already known that more tour dates are coming for both North and South America. The tour will kick off on February 15 in Perth, Australia. It is not yet known whether more tour dates in Europe will be announced. So it is still a matter of waiting to see whether the singer will also come to the Netherlands.
In a statement, Minogue wrote that she is “beyond excited” to start her tour in 2025. “I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more! It’s been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action… and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!”
Padam Padam was Kylie Minogue’s last big hit. For this she won a Grammy this year in the Best Pop Dance Recording category. Previously, Minogue was nominated six times for her work, but this was the second time in her career that she actually took home the award. The first time she won was in 2004 when she won the Best Dance Recording award for ‘Come Into My World’.
