When Princess Amalia poses for Frank Ruiter in the fall of 2021, she will wear a ruby and diamond ring in addition to a red dress. It is the birth ring that Máxima received in 2003 at the birth of her eldest daughter. In the meantime, the daughter in question, Amalia, also has her own red ring.
The jewel consists of a rose gold ring with two green tourmalines and a wine-red tourmaline as the center stone. The ring was handmade in the studio of the Hague jeweler Steltman. This is a familiar address for the Oranjes; Máxima’s engagement ring, wedding ring and all three birth rings were also purchased there. Amalia’s green-red glimmer came on the market in 2023 and costs 7,750 euros.
The princess does not wear the jewel every day. For example, it was absent from the summer photo session of 2024, and also during the Caribbean trip. Where did it appear? King’s Day Emmen (2024), the Olympic Games and the winter photo session of 2023.
While writing this blog I discovered that my story about Máxima’s birth rings was unfortunately not transferred during the last move of this website. The topic has been put on the to do list, so please be patient!
