Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attended the opening of the exhibition “The Olympic Torch Through the Ages” on Thursday evening. Charlene chose a beautiful new red jumpsuit for the occasion.
Their cousin Louis Ducruet (son of Princess Stephanie of Monaco) was also present, as was Melanie de Massy. Melanie is a second cousin of Prince Albert and a confidante of the family. The exhibition is held in the building of the Grimaldi Forum.
The exhibition “The Olympic Torch Through the Ages” is open from 18 July to 18 August. Each torch on display, from Berlin in 1936 to Paris in 2024, tells a unique story. The objects are more or less works of art, symbolising the host country where the Olympic Games were held that year. Albert’s grandfather John Brendan Kelly (father of Princess Grace), won no less than 3 gold medals at the Olympic Games in rowing (1920 and 1924). Albert and Charlene themselves also have a relationship with the Olympic Games.
