For the reception of the Emir of Qatar, Máxima took a well-known – and covering – outfit from her closet.
The Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, pays an official visit to the Netherlands today. He is accompanied by his wife, Her Highness Sheika Jawaher bint Hamad Al Thani. The Emir was just officially received by the royal couple and will later also visit Prime Minister Rutte and the chairmen of the Senate and House of Representatives. The visit is aimed at further strengthening the broad relationship between the Netherlands and Qatar. In parallel, a round table discussion will take place in the morning with various CEOs about, among others, the water, sustainable energy, food and maritime sectors.
Fashion
Normally Máxima wears sleeveless dresses on sunny days, but a formal reception of guests from Qatar requires a different style. This time the choice fell on a silk blouse with a generous bow closure and a silk skirt with an uneven skirt length.
