Princess Charlene is radiant on the eve of a major event

From seabed to glamor event!

In Monaco there is actually a fantastic party, a glamorous gala or a huge event every week. But few happenings are treated as extensively as the annual Monaco Grand Prix. For an entire weekend, the microstate of the mega-rich will be dominated by Formula 1. Of course, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene are closely involved in this, as they showed last night.

Racing through Monaco

Just as our own Dutch team were spotted in recent years at the Grand Prix in Zandvoort, it is a regular occurrence in Monaco every year: Albert and Charlene are at the front of the Formula 1 races with their princely noses.

Although the real race won’t take place until Sunday, preparations are of course already in full swing. Not only are the drivers getting ready to show their best, people are also busy at the Palais Princier!

Flags for charity

F1, with all its popularity, is of course also an excellent opportunity to put your charity in the spotlight. And that is why Her Serene Highness took to the water this weekend, where she was presented with a soaking wet checkered flag by freediving champion Pierre Frolla. Huh?

Yes, don’t ask us why it all has to be so laborious, but oh well. Under the name ‘Operation Poseidon’, the princess sailed on a boat off the coast of Monaco last Wednesday. Here the free diver picked a well-known black and white finish flag from the seabed, which was received by Charlene.

They are then the first to sign the flag, which will also be signed by the various F1 drivers this weekend. This salty block flag will then go under the hammer, and the proceeds will benefit the Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco. In any case, it is creative, we have to give them that.

Nice detail: although Charlene’s look may look casual and sporty, it is of course ‘just’ a designer outfit. The dark blue parka is a Louis Vuitton copy of taffeta, which will cost you around €3400. Oh well, nice for when you’ve already got your holiday money, nun?

Glamor in palace

Fortunately, the run-up to the F1 race also had some glamor in store, as the princely court showed via social media. Last night a festive reception was organized at the palace by Leurs Altesses Sérénissimes. Here Charlene showed up in style in a timeless off-shoulder jumpsuit in a deep turquoise shade.

Her outfit is reportedly a custom piece from Louis Vuitton, which Charlene completed perfectly with a set of silver pumps and ditto waist belt.

In any case, we can’t wait to see what else the Highness turns out from her royal wardrobe this weekend. We wouldn’t say no to even more Louis Vuitton!
