Pajamas are no longer reserved for the bedroom.
We’ve all had pajamas that we felt it would be a shame to only wear while sleeping. Enter: the pajama trend! In 2024, you can wear pajama-like ensembles during the day. We share inspiration.
Popularity of sleepwear
What is more comfortable? Jeans, or the pajama bottoms you go to bed in at night? We bet you haven’t mentioned the jeans by now. We therefore don’t think it’s surprising that more and more people are choosing to wear pajama-like outfits during the day.
Some trends are instantly popular. However, pajama outfits have slowly found their way into the wardrobes of fashion lovers. Years ago, people sometimes wore pajama-like outfits during the day, but many people didn’t do it then. Until corona. We got used to comfort after sitting at home a lot and we wanted to maintain this comfort even after the lockdowns. Without sacrificing a sense of style, of course.
And then there was the Barbie movie, in which actress Issa Rae wore a Sleeper pajama set. We now know that the film had a huge impact on the fashion we wore.
Issa wasn’t the only one who rocked a Sleeper set. Stars such as Kate Moss, Suki Waterhouse, Alexa Chung, Kendall Jenner, Lena Dunham, Kourtney Kardashian, Anya-Taylor Joy, Eva Chen and Paris Hilton also have a look from the brand in their closet. And they seem to have started a real trend. More and more people are wearing the brand’s pajama-like fashion.

Styling
Now we can imagine that the outfits might be a bit too pajama-like for your everyday look. Luckily, there are many ways you can style it to make it look less sleepy. Use accessories – after all, no one will go to bed wearing statement necklaces.
You also have to be careful with your choice of shoes. For example, don’t wear fluffy shoes, but wear a beautiful heel. You can also complete your outfit with your hairstyle. Don’t wear a messy bun or loose hair – these are typical hair looks we wear when we go to sleep. Instead, put your hair in a tight bun or go for another hairstyle that people can see that you put some time into. This also makes your look less sleepy.
And the way to soften the pajama look and feel? By combining it with everyday clothes. For example, you can also simply combine a pajama top with jeans or other ‘daytime’ trousers. Pajama pants with a casual t-shirt and sneakers also work well!
