Young love on television – it remains wonderful to watch. This is evident from programs such as The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. But Videoland now proves that the search for the right one is not only for the younger generations with a new spin-off of the show: The Golden Bachelor.

While Videoland recently changed things considerably and, unlike previous seasons, no celebrity but two unknown men were featured in the program, this time the streaming service is going one step further. This time the makers give a person over 65 the chance to find love. A man is chosen for the new format who takes on the adventure.

Videoland is already making a call: “Grandfathers, fathers, nice neighbors, etc., pay attention! Are you or do you know a man between 65 and 75 years old who is looking for love? Register now for The Golden Bachelor! Because love knows no age ❤️,” said the streaming service.

The Bachelor
In the popular dating show, an eligible bachelor gets to know a group of potential love partners, all of whom are competing for him or her. During the program they get to know each other better and love may blossom. However, every week there is a so-called rose ceremony where one of the singles has to leave the field. The singles who are allowed to stay receive a rose, but unfortunately the unlucky dropout does not.
At the end of the adventure, there is ultimately one person left who has captured the bachelor’s heart. This person receives the very last rose and walks away with the coveted bachelor.
It is still unclear when the new format with people over 65 will be shown. In any case, we will have the popcorn ready!
