Is the couple already planning a visit to their daughter?
It has been a few weeks since Countess Eloise exchanged our little country for the Big Apple. She regularly shares fun hotspots and shopping tips via Instagram, but what happens next for the ‘grave influencer’? This weekend her parents were grilled about their daughter’s departure.
Fledgling daughter
Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien have a couple of very enterprising kids. Son Claus-Casimir has devoted himself fully to entrepreneurship, and daughter Eloise is working hard at the Amsterdam Hotel School… and on social media, of course.
For a moment, Elo is in sensational New York, where the countess is spending about six months for her internship. She seems to be having a great time there, but how do her parents feel about their daughter having flown to the other side of the ocean?
Royal day
We detected a slight hint of homesickness in Princess Ariane when she was asked about her school in Italy this weekend. But with Eloise that would not be the case at all. “She is doing very well! She enjoys her internship and she is very pleased with it,” Princess Laurentien revealed to the cameras last weekend. “It is much further than Emmen,” the princess also joked.
With a daughter in New York City, it is natural for parents to take a look around. Is that also planned for the prince and princess? They leave that open for now. “Maybe so,” says Constantijn.
Out of the spotlight
Eloise previously revealed the reason for her departure. The countess shared that she hopes to regain some of her anonymity in New York. “I don’t want to make a big deal of it, but yes, I do have the feeling that there are a lot of eyes on me,” Eloise told LINDA.meiden. “On the street it is logical for people to tap each other. If someone stares longer, it makes me uncomfortable. Then I think: do you recognize me? I am constantly aware of that and I would like to get rid of that feeling,” said the countess.
Fortunately, Elo seems to feel completely at home!
