Queen Máxima opened a new location of A Beautiful Mess in Amsterdam this afternoon. With this social restaurant with event and workshop spaces, the Refugee Company Foundation wants to work on participation and inclusion of people with a refugee background.
The program started with a panel discussion about the role and meaning of A Beautiful Mess for people with a refugee background. The role of learning programs and paid jobs for a meaningful life in the Netherlands was then discussed. The Queen was then given a tour of the building, where she spoke to people with a refugee background in the kitchen and language classrooms.

For the festive opening, Máxima dressed herself in red from head to toe. Natan’s dress has an asymmetrical overlay at the bodice, which ends in a flounce in the skirt area. A playful detail with a great effect. If you look closely, you will also see decorative pleats at the waist and three-quarter sleeves with a small slit.
It is the seventh time that we have seen the dress at Máxima. The debut took place in 2015, see below.
