The Bachelor is currently in full swing. Now that there are only a handful of women left, the episodes become more exciting. Because who will go home with the men’s hearts? In the most recent podcast episode of Geuze & Gorgels, Kaj Gorgels says that he is well aware of the program that his bestie presents. And Kaj has a number of remarkable observations that have set tongues wagging.
The Bachelor is exhausting
Kaj starts with his thoughts about The Bachelor itself. “I imagine it’s pretty exhausting to be in the shoes of the Bachelors,” he notes. “All those long days and the constant talking to different candidates.”
Tipsy
Then Kaj comes up with a revelation you wouldn’t expect. “I have a feeling that Paul… well, he’s actually a little tipsy all day long,” he says with a playful tone. Monica looks up in surprise: “Really?” Kaj explains that he almost always sees Paul walking around the show with a glass of cava. According to the presenter, you can almost feel the alcohol through the screen if you have been on the road for a few hours.
Double tongue
Monica then admits that she has heard this gossip before. Even her boyfriend recently asked her if it was true that Paul was drunk on screen. But Monica didn’t actually catch the Bachelor having one too many drinks during the taping. “I don’t remember seeing him drunk there,” she says. However, Kaj remains skeptical. He remembers moments when Paul looked a bit misty-eyed and slurred his speech. “It looked like the cork was going to fly out of his mouth at any moment,” Kaj jokes.
Warm temperatures
Monica suggests that the warm temperatures during the recordings could have played a role. She thinks maybe Paul was just suffering from the heat. But Kaj isn’t so sure. He rather thinks it was a combination of too much drink and the heat.
