Steamy scenes between the sheets are not an option for Lady Penelope.
Bridgerton viewers can confirm that the series makes plenty of room for scenes in which love is made. However, Nicola Coughlan, who plays Lady Penelope in Bridgerton, is not fond of such spicy scenes. The Irish actress has now revealed why she prefers not to be too naked on screen.
Third season
Now that we have watched the first two seasons of Bridgerton in one go, we are eagerly awaiting the third part. This season will be all about Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) finally falling for each other (hopefully).
Contractually established
What we shouldn’t expect from the third season are spicy scenes. At least, not from Lady Penelope. Nicole has agreed with the makers of the series that she will not appear so naked on screen, she tells radio station SiriusXM Hits 1. “That is literally stated in my contract. People think I’m joking. I was raised Irish Catholic. That’s not how it works for us,” the actress said about her family.
Sneak peek
Of course we understand Nicole, but Bridgerton and intimate scenes kind of go hand in hand. Fortunately, we probably won’t have to miss it, because in addition to Penelope and Colin, we also get to see plenty of other characters in the third season.
In the brand new sneak peek that Netflix recently shared, we see that Kate and Anthony still love each other. Anthony asks Kate to dance and the romance radiates! This bodes well for the coming season…
Bridgerton season 3, part 1 will be released on Netflix on May 16. We then have to wait almost a month for the second part. Bridgerton season 3, part 2 can be viewed from June 13.
