And King Harald shows up again!
The Norwegian royal family announces that they are gathered to celebrate Easter together. They posted a nice family photo with an Easter greeting on their Instagram. The photo shows the royal couple together with the family of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
King Harald makes himself heard again
The Norwegian court shares a cozy family photo of the Norwegian royal family on social media. King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and their two children Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus are in the photo. The fact that King Harald is also in the photo is special, because he is showing his face for the first time since his hospitalization in Malaysia last February.
Hopital
In February, King Harald blew out no fewer than 87 candles, and this was celebrated in a wonderful holiday resort. Harald traveled to Malaysia, but the king had to cancel his trip due to an infection. He ended up in a Malaysian hospital and was attended to by both Malaysian and Norwegian medical staff. Not shortly afterwards, the Norwegian king received a permanent pacemaker. Harald is still recovering from this operation and is therefore still on sick leave until at least Easter.
Family photo
Fortunately, the king is doing much better now, as can be seen in the latest family photo. King Harald is smiling broadly, and that is how we like to see Your Majesty!

Under the post it is written: “The royal family wishes everyone a happy Easter 🐣.” The caption continues: “The Royal Couple and the Crown Prince Family gathered at the Royal Palace of Bygdø at the beginning of Easter week.”
So the royal family spends the beginning of Easter week at Bygdø Kongsgård, the official summer residence of the Norwegian king. It is an estate that largely consists of the northwestern part of Oslo’s Bygdø Peninsula.
We wish the Norwegian royal family a wonderful Easter holiday, during which King Harald can hopefully relax. We look forward to seeing the Norwegian king again soon!
