There are more photo editing enthusiasts within the palace walls.
Lately it’s been about nothing other than the Photoshop blunder made by Princess Catherine. Yet Kate appears not to be the only one within the palace walls who ‘experiments’ with photo editing. An old snapshot of the late Queen Elizabeth also appears to have been heavily photoshopped.
Old picture
According to Getty Images, there is another photo of the royal family that appears to have been photoshopped. This is a snapshot from 2022, showing Queen Elizabeth with her grandchildren. The photo was taken in August 2022, just a few weeks before her death. None other than Princess Kate took the photo.
Last April, Buckingham Palace shared the photo on Instagram to commemorate the late Elizabeth’s 97th birthday. The photo can be seen in the carousel below.

Spotted mistakes
However, the photo – just like Kate’s Mother’s Day photo – would have been edited. For example, several places on the couch have been edited, but the line of the queen’s skirt is also not completely straight. A number of things have also been adjusted for the children.
“Getty Images has reviewed the image in question and has issued an editorial note stating that the image has been digitally enhanced at the source,” a Getty spokesperson told The Telegraph.
Mother’s Day photo
It is the second time in a short time that mistakes have been spotted in photos of the royal family. At least 16 editing errors were found in Kate’s Mother’s Day snap earlier this month. Although the British generally stick to their motto never complain, never explain, this time it seems that they have repented. They eventually shared their sincere apologies for this mistake via the Instagram Stories on the official account of the Prince and Princess of Wales. All’s well that ends well!
