Cheers!
Drinking beer not ladylike? Think again! A beer every now and then is also a good thing for royal ladies. And, that really doesn’t just happen behind the palace walls. We’ve listed some of our favorite moments of princesses and other royals drinking beer for you.
Duchess Meghan
As founder of the Invictus Games, Prince Harry is present at every edition, including last year in Düsseldorf, Germany. Here, of course, it was all about the athletes and their stories – veterans who have rediscovered themselves as true top athletes. But the cameras were also regularly focused on Harry and Meghan, who sat on the sidelines (almost) every day of the busy schedule to cheer on the athletes. And of course, a small drink is part of that!

Meghan seems to be enjoying her beer very much. Although we suspect her of having stolen it from someone, judging by her hubby’s pouting head…
Princess Kate
Prince William and Princess Kate took a wonderfully casual ride on the tube in London last year. Not just any one, but the Elizabeth Line, the metro line named after the late Queen. The trip eventually took the Prince and Princess of Wales to a London pub. Once in the Dog and Duck, the couple enjoys a well-deserved princely pint.

The pale ale was brewed especially for Charles and Camilla’s coronation and William gets the honor of tapping the first. Fun fact: that was ‘the perfect pint’ according to the waitress!
Crown Princess Victoria
During Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden’s three-day visit to the UK late last year, one of their first stops was a quintessentially British experience: having a beer in a local pub. The couple walked into The Three Blackbirds in Newmarket in good spirits, where the future Queen of Sweden helped herself to a pint.

She raised her glass and clearly enjoyed her home-made icebreaker!
Queen Maxima
A good glass of Dutch hops is also enjoyed royally on Dutch soil. Máxima visited a beer brewery in Limburg in 2021, where she then picked hop cones with her own hands for her ‘Gulpener Maximale Hop’. Well, what doesn’t our queen actually have to her name?

However, it was checked what percentage such a beer actually contains. Would Her Majesty make a quick calculation here of how much beer she could drink during working hours?
