1. There are many different shades of blonde
Before you immediately run to the hairdresser to have your locks bleached, it is wise to think carefully about what kind of blonde cut you have in mind. There are countless shades of blonde, so your hairdresser can’t do much with just the word ‘blonde’. Research the different colors well in advance and determine what appeals to you most. 2. It can take a lot of time
Especially if you are not (dark) blonde yourself, bleaching can take quite a lot of time. One hairdresser’s visit of an hour won’t get you anywhere. It is often a process of weeks or even months in which your locks become slightly more bleached. By doing this step by step, you ensure that you do not damage your hair too much. So a little patience is in order.
3. It can damage your hair
This brings us straight to point 3. Blonde locks are beautiful, but to get them you have to do something for them. Bleaching is not exactly good for the health of your hair. Frequent bleaching can make your hair dry and break off more quickly. So think carefully in advance whether you are willing to do this.
4. It can be pricey
Everything has its price, and bleaching your hair can also be quite expensive. After all, you probably need more than one treatment. All the more reason to think about how much you want those blonde locks.
5. Maintenance is important
As we said: one hairdressing appointment is not enough. You will be in the hairdresser’s chair much more often, and in the meantime your own hair care is also very important. Because bleaching is already not good for your hair, it is even more important to take good care of your cut. So invest in good hair products, including, for example, a silver shampoo to maintain your desired shade.
