Saturday was the 8th and final day of King Frederik and Queen Mary’s journey through Greenland. We look back.
On Saturday morning, the royal couple arrived in Narsaq, where they were received by the mayor and members of the city council. The king planted a tree. The town of Narsaq is surrounded by the Tunulliarfik and Ikersuaq fjords: this area was home to Inuit and Norse people. Afterwards, the royal couple visited the sports hall and the football field, where they met with members of the town’s sports clubs. They also attended a lunch reception.
In the afternoon, King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived in the town of Qassiarsuk. The royal couple was given a tour of the village, which has a population of only 65. This was followed by a coffee break. Unfortunately, this brings the visit to Greenland to an end. Frederik and Mary seem to have enjoyed themselves!
Outfit Mary
Queen Mary is wearing her green outdoor suit from Laksen, combined with a checked cap. She is also wearing a grey turtleneck with a dark blue bodywarmer from Moncler inside during the sports activity.
