The loafer was mainly used there by Norwegian farmers who wore the loafers while working with their cattle. That’s where the name ‘loafers’ comes from; from the word ‘loafing’, which means something like ‘walking loose’ or ‘strolling’. Conversely, this shoe appealed to the Americans; in 1934, a shoemaker named GH Bass released a new variation of the loafer there. They all had and have one thing in common: the look of a simple, but classic and stylish loafer with or without decorations.

It was not without reason that the loafer quickly became extremely popular. The shoe has many advantages that make many men happy. Besides the fact that the loafer is multifunctional and you can wear them with both formal and informal clothing, there are a number of other advantages that you can take advantage of. Loafers can be excellently combined with a combination of dark jeans with a jacket or a blazer.
