In Winter full of Love, the love adventure of young Benjamin (26) is not yet going smoothly. The catering employee has the jitters, but he still finds it difficult as a newcomer in love. He now has two men over, Joshua and Jeroen, and that is especially difficult for him: that they live with him. That’s why he comes up with a drastic decision and sends both men out of the house, but fortunately not out of his life yet. Interesting!
Benjamin in Winter full of Love
Benjamin is literally the ‘benjamin’ of the group of candidates in season 1 of Winter Vol Liefde. The 26-year-old catering employee lives and works in Switzerland, where he enjoys skiing in his spare time. In the meantime, he hopes to find a nice man through the popular reality program. He has never had a real relationship and is ready for one now. “All my friends are now also in a relationship, living together, having children,” he previously introduced himself. “I want to build my life abroad and would like it if someone would like to get involved.”
Fortunately for Benjamin, the responses from nice men are pouring in. His first potential love candidate Nicky (32) quickly falls for the young Benjamin, but things happen a little too quickly for him. The fact that Nicky is immediately so open about his feelings gives Benjamin the creeps. He calls it a red flag that Nicky is immediately so “fierce and intense”. That’s why he sends him away in no time. Then Joshua (31) comes over and Benjamin is more attracted to him. This may also be because Joshua charms him with, among other things, a private flight over the mountain. Very cool of course! This, and the fact that they see each other a lot, gives Benjamin the jitters. “There was some tension in the air,” Benjamin says during what he considers a ‘nice morning’ in Winter Vol Liefde. “Between us, but also between what is to come in the coming days.” Things are going well, but is Joshua really the one for Benjamin?
Joshua and Jeroen
Benjamin finds it difficult that the potential love candidates are immediately on his lips. They live in his house, of course; his safe haven. That takes a lot of getting used to. He feels a lot of tension: “I don’t like it very much that there is someone in my house.” Coincidentally, Joshua is already thinking about booking a hotel. He also thinks it’s a bit much that they see each other so often. However, the timing of Benjamin’s thought is a bit wrong. He now has a second man: Jeroen (36), who initially expects him to come live with him. The first impression of Benjamin is that he is very tall and has a penetrating, but sweet look. Aww. That all sounds very good. Although the bar is high according to Benjamin, he tells Jeroen honestly.
Own apartment
Only once again: it is not easy for Benjamin that he suddenly has all kinds of nice men in his house. As mentioned, he has little experience in love and it may be because of this, or at least that’s what Joshua thinks. Benjamin needs to get to know himself better, so that he knows what he is really looking for. And for that he needs space. His good friend Anna also thinks it is better for him if he does not have the men around him all the time. Through her he has arranged a private apartment for Joshua and Jeroen, where they can spend the night together. “So you can pack your things,” Benjamin says. Something that is of course less fun for Jeroen, who has only just arrived. “It’s a bit of a cold introduction,” says Benjamin, who understands. Fortunately, Jeroen can sympathize with it. Benjamin also immediately gives him a skiing lesson as a compensation. Jeroen cannot yet ski well, although according to Benjamin he appears to be a natural talent. “I’m impressed with your first time skiing,” Benjamin says during après-ski.
The viewers of Winter full of Love are curious to see how everything will turn out for Benjamin. Some joke that it might cause an even bigger plot twist. “It would be funny if Joshua and Jeroen really like each other and Benjamin is left behind,” writes someone on social media channel X. Oops, that would be something! But let’s hope for a positive outcome for Benjamin.
