Top 10: Mary’s most beautiful gala dresses.

The change of throne is getting closer! This coming Sunday. That is why we would like to put the Danish Royals in the spotlight. Today we look at Mary’s most beautiful prom dresses. Which one do you like best?

1.

Beautiful, this champagne-colored, lace layered gown, which Crown Princess Mary wore at the 50th birthday of Crown Prince Frederik. A design by Lasse Spangenberg.

Once again a design by Lasse Spangenberg, this blue-gray dress.

Mary wore a beautiful pink sequined gown, designed by Jenny Packham, for an interview with Financial Times. Later, an official photo of Mary in this dress was also released. Unfortunately, only the top of the gown can be seen in that photo.

Do you want to know what the dress looks like when it is worn? Catherine, Princess of Wales, wore the same gown to the wedding of Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan.

I think the dress that Mary wore to celebrate Frederik’s 50th birthday is really beautiful. Beautiful how the sleeves dance elegantly around her shoulders with every movement.

Crown Princess Mary wore this soft blue dress with embroidery, designed by Birgit Halstein, at the wedding of Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist.

A now somewhat older, but in my opinion still beautiful gray and white dress with layers from Ole Yde.

7.

A beautiful red dress with layers and gathered bodice, designed by Jesper Hovring.

I also really like Mary’s sea green dress by Jesper Hovring. However, Mary wore the dress in 3 versions. Personally, I think the middle version is the nicest.

Version 1: The gown with a lace section above the bust, worn at the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel in 2010.

Version 2: with an asymmetrical bodice.

Version 3: For the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, Mary again had lace added to the bodice of this dress. The lace falls over her arm like a cape sleeve, all the way to the hem of the dress.

10.

During an official visit of the Norwegian royal couple to Denmark, Crown Princess Mary wore this gala dress from MaxMara. The neckline of the dress has been adjusted. Mary also wore (very appropriately!) this dress at the celebration of King Harald and Queen Sonja’s 80th birthday in 2017. Then the dress had a higher, round neckline.
