The makers of the series have not yet officially confirmed it, but the role of Sophie will be played by Yerin Ha. This Australian-Korean actress will accompany actor Luke Thompson in the fourth season of Bridgerton. She is 29 years old and already has a number of major roles to her name. Previously, Ha played in the series Halo, which was made by director Steven Spielberg. You may also know her from the miniseries Bad Behaviour. But the biggest role that the actress has to her name is her role as the young version of Kasha in Dune: Prophecy.
With Herin taking on the role of Sophie, Shondaland is adding more diversity to the series. Previous seasons have featured many actors of color playing the Bridgertons’ love interests and friends. Herin Ya will be the first major love interest to have an Asian background.
