By Royal Decree, King Willem-Alexander has awarded Mr S. (Sadik) Harchaoui the Medal of Honor for Progress and Ingenuity of the House Order of Orange. Queen Máxima was also present at the ceremony, which took place today.
The award was given to Mr Harchaoui because of his great social involvement and decades of commitment to creating opportunities that offer people a better perspective. His working method is characterized by great drive, bringing people and organizations together and focusing on concrete results.
Since 2018, Mr Harchaoui has been ‘chef de mission’ of the SchuldenlabNL Foundation, of which Queen Máxima is honorary chairman. SchuldenlabNL strives for a debt care-free Netherlands through collaboration between public and private organizations. This is done, among other things, by scaling up successful debt relief methods. In addition, SchuldenlabNL is a co-initiator of national initiatives such as the National Coalition for Financial Health.
