In the reunion episode of The Bachelor, everything seemed to be fine between him and Eline, but nothing turns out to be further from the truth. The reality outside The Bachelor bubble was unfortunately a bit different than expected.
Not Josephine but Eline
At first Paul chose Josephine, but their romance quickly came to an end once they returned to the Netherlands. Josephine’s feeling for Paul had disappeared like snow in the sun at home. Sad! Fortunately for Paul, he also had a nice connection with Eline. She was open to giving it a chance in her own country and seeing if things could work out between them. And Paul had a nice time with Eline, but that also turned out not to be a match made in heaven.
Dating after The Bachelor
Paul talks in Shownieuws about the struggles of dating while the program is on the air. “The first month was very nice and very cozy, but you are always at home. You cannot go out for dinner or do other crazy things, which you normally do when you start dating,” he says. “We did that for a few months up to and including the reunion, but in the last month we said to each other: ‘Where is this actually going?’ Because we were not in love with each other. We had a good time together, but there was no tension,” says Paul.
Weekend in Paris
Still, Paul decided to investigate further with Eline. “We went to Paris for a weekend, that was until the reunion, but that felt more like traveling with a good friend. It was fun, but not exciting. Then the reunion happened and we had to tell them that we We are now dating, but three days after the reunion we broke it off. We talked about it and said to each other: “We are not made for each other.” And so both Paul and Eline are single again.
Eline confirms fracture
Eline also announced on Insta that it is over between her and Paul. They admit that they really had fun together and took it seriously. But yes, if that romantic spark is missing, then of course that’s where it ends. “It was really fun together and we spent 2.5 months seriously looking into whether it was possible. We both really wanted it. We just missed some of that romantic spark and so we chose to have a We found out shortly after the reunion was recorded,” Eline wrote on Instagram.
