A colorful, light summer dress is the perfect outfit to brave the sunny weather. And it’s not just us, we also often see the most beautiful floral dresses in the land of the royals. From royal garden parties to state visits in tropical places: we list some of our favorite looks.
Summer dresses
When you think of royal fashion, you might immediately think of satin gowns and velvet coats. And of course, no princess or queen is complete without a collection of elegant ball gowns, but that is by no means the only thing the royal ladies have in their closets. On a sunny day they are just as happy to appear on the scene in a fresh, colorful summer dress!
Last month, for example, Màxima appeared in a floral, airy dress from Vanessa Seward x Bloom Paris during a visit to the Philippines. We know this dress from a UN visit to Tanzania in 2022.

And Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden also opted for a colorful outfit during her visit to Bangladesh earlier this year. With this look she immediately shows that floral dresses and white sneakers go perfectly together!

Unfortunately, we have had to miss her for a while now at public events, but if anyone is a fan of a floral print, it is Kate. The princess has the most beautiful floral dresses in her collection, in all kinds, colors and models.

Princess or queen, young or old, there are few royal ladies who are not a fan of a floral print from time to time. We also find plenty of colorful gems in the wardrobes of the younger generation of royals!

What pictures, nun? Amalia wore both of these dresses during last year’s Caribbean tour, where she and her parents visited Bonaire, Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The dress in the first photo is from the Diane von Furstenberg collection, and the second dress is from the Erdem brand. Two beautiful, summery dresses, which of course look perfect in such a tropical destination!
