Princess Victoria made an impression yesterday by appearing at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize in a very appropriate dress.
The average royal has a good outfit in their wardrobe for every occasion. From sturdy boots for a trip outside, to the most dazzling jewelry and gala dresses for exclusive banquets and parties. But Princess Victoria proved yesterday that you can tailor your clothing very specifically to your royal duties!
Victoria presents prizes
Just like our King Willem-Alexander, Princess Victoria is also closely involved in all kinds of projects in the field of water management. For example, she has been working for the United Nations for years on the Sustainable Development Goals and she regularly shows up at events that have to do with water management and sustainability.
It is therefore not surprising that the Crown Princess played an important role yesterday during the presentation of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. This ceremony has been organized annually since 1997 for young people from all over the world who contribute to ‘solving major water challenges’ with ambitious and innovative ideas. The winners receive their prize from none other than Her Royal Highness.
Splashing Crown Princess
Yesterday the finalists were welcomed in Stockholm as part of ‘World Water week’, where the young scientists from the United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil eventually walked away with the prizes. Of course there was also the opportunity for the ambitious teenagers to have their picture taken with the Crown Princess, and in the snaps it is immediately noticeable that Vic has chosen a very on brand dress…
Yes, for a water award ceremony, the princess showed up in a custom maxjenny! gown with a delicious oceanic print. She paired it with a matching set of blue Jimmy Choo heels and an equally blue clutch from LK Bennett.

Busy day
Interesting detail: the presentation of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize was not Victoria’s only agenda item yesterday. She also showed up at the presentation of the Raoul Wallenberg Prize.
Here, Her Highness made an appearance in a stylish, floral dress by By Malina, which she combined with the same blue accessories. This meant that HRH only had to change into another dress before she could head off to her next awards gala. Clever!
With this busy day it seems that the summer holidays are well and truly over in Sweden too. On to more special outfits!
