B&B Vol Liefde has been over for a while, but the candidates are still fresh in our memories. We have also not forgotten Petri, who appeared in a new episode of Boerderij van Dorst. We know her for her cold and direct attitude in the love program, but it is precisely because of this attitude that she also received a lot of hate reactions. Of course, we wouldn’t wish that on anyone, because it meant more to Petri than she had previously thought.
Petri in B&B Full of Love
When Petri and Raven are in the car, Raven opens the conversation about her participation in B&B Vol Liefde. Petri says that she gave herself up to meet ‘a nice guy’. She could use some help with this and thought the way of reality at B&B Vol Liefde suited her. During the program, viewers soon discover that Petri has a ‘direct’ character. She comes across as a cold person and it seems that she would rather choose for herself than be open to a new partner.
Hate comments
When Raven points out that Petri received a lot of strong reactions to her participation, Petri confirms this. “Hate messages were sent to me personally, via email and text message,” says Petri. When Raven asks what kind of messages these were, Petri says: “All kinds of things, you don’t want to know. I’m not even going to repeat that. Just all rubbish.”
Those kinds of reactions are absolutely not nice to receive, so Raven also asks what this did to Petri. “At first I thought, I don’t know those people, those people don’t know me. But it wasn’t until weeks later that I noticed that it had done more to me than I had thought,” says Petri. In fact, it was so annoying for Petri that the hate reactions overshadowed the fun of the recordings. Only when things calmed down a bit weeks later did she look back on the recordings with more pleasure.
“That’s how I am!”
Petri partly understood where the hate reactions came from, but it is never nice to have such rotten reactions thrown at you. She knows that she is a very direct person, but she regrets that only a small part of who she is has been shown. “I know myself well and I also know my shortcomings. You never have to ask me: what does she mean? Does she really say what she thinks? You always know where you stand with me,” Petri continues. And so it is!
Petri ends the conversation by indicating that she is not looking for a partner at the moment. “I’m a bit done with it too,” she says. And we understand that all too well. You rock, Petri! With or without a man.
