In September 2023, Freddy Hadley (11) sent a special letter. In a handwritten letter he invited Prince William to visit his school. At Student Voice – St Michael’s, the boy runs a student mental health group.
On October 10, Freddy received a royal response. The prince announced via social media that unfortunately he could not visit. “Addressing mental health challenges and stigma is so important. Please continue this important work,” the prince said.
And today, more than six months after Freddy mailed the letter, the time had finally come. William visited Freddy’s school and spoke to the student group that is committed to the mental health of students. All’s well that ends well!
