For the start of the MIND Us network ‘Leading Locals’ yesterday, Máxima put on a ‘golden oldie’: her houndstooth trouser suit from fashion house Natan.
During the meeting, board member of MIND Us and mayor of Utrecht Sharon Dijksma spoke, among other things, about the responsibility that municipalities have to include the mental health of young people in their policy. Máxima participated in workshops with various councilors, policy makers, representatives of social organizations and young people about the power of role models to reach young people and the importance of youth participation in the formulation and elaboration of municipal policy. A step-by-step plan was then presented for setting up a walk-in facility in the neighborhood where young people with emerging mental complaints can go anonymously. Finally, the Queen spoke with the councilors of the ten municipalities present about their approach to strengthening the mental health of young people and the future plans of the ‘Leading Locals’ network.
Fashion
For the occasion, which took place at Noordeinde Palace, Máxima had brought out her houndstooth, double breasted trouser suit from fashion house Natan. Apparently she couldn’t find the comb 😉
