This afternoon, King Willem-Alexander – in the presence of Queen Máxima – presented the Medal of Honor for Progress and Ingenuity of the House Order of Orange to Richard Krajicek. The medal of honor was awarded to Mr Krajicek for his decades of social commitment, including through the Krajicek Foundation.
The aim of the Krajicek Foundation is to get young people to exercise regularly and thus develop a healthy lifestyle. The Scholarship Program motivates young people to make a positive contribution to their own neighborhood. In 2022, the Krajicek Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary. Every year, the Krajicek Foundation organizes the King’s Games in collaboration with various partners. In 2013, as a member of the National Inauguration Committee, Mr. Krajicek was one of the initiators of this sporting event in which more than 1.2 million children from 6,000 primary schools in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom participate.
