The two have been together for over twenty years!
In this moment, actor, presenter, dancer, former soap opera and now musical star Jan Kooijman shines on stage in his role as Edward Lewis in the musical Pretty Woman. In this role he loses his heart to escort lady Vivian Ward, played by Shanna Slaap. In everyday life, however, Jan has been happy with his great love, Henna Lee, for years.
Twenty years together
Jan and Henna have been together for about twenty years. The two met at the Scapino Ballet, even before Jan’s showbiz career took off.
In 2011, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Logan. Another girl followed in 2014, who was named Ava.
Red carpet
While some celebrities like to share their private lives with their followers, Jan never actually puts a snapshot of his family online. Privacy first! As early as 2010, he announced that he was protecting his girlfriend and would no longer speak about her in the media. “If I say something in the media, my girlfriend is confronted about it,” the actor told Grazia at the time.
Where we occasionally catch a glimpse of Jan’s great love is on the red carpet. Every now and then Jan and Henna are photographed together on the red carpet, for example during the premiere of Summer in France last year. What a sweet couple!
On the shelves
This moment in 2012 was extra special, when Jan and Henna danced a beautiful duet together for charity.
During the Stand Up Against Cancer gala they showed a fantastic choreography to the song The Artist Inside by DJ Don Diablo.

In addition to the obvious chemistry between the two on stage, they are of course also crazy about each other behind the scenes. In a conversation with Veronica Magazine, Jan once revealed: “A woman can be incredibly handsome, beautiful, smart and intellectual, but if she can’t laugh at herself, I’ll soon be done for. It’s such a turn off when a woman thinks the entire universe revolves around her.”
These two have clearly found each other completely. Who knows: can we expect another duet from the two soon? Fingers crossed!
