Joost Klein (26) is back in action! After his intense disqualification at the Eurovision Song Contest, Joost Klein has finally made himself heard again on Instagram. In a short video in his Instagram stories you see Joost sitting in a plane with his friend the Stunt Gnome. The two are on their way together to a ‘secret place’. Ooh, exciting!
Canada bound?
So, where is this secret mission headed? Well, rumor has it that Joost is heading to Canada. Yep, he’s on the line-up of a festival in Vancouver this weekend. How cool? Nice and international, Joost.

First performance post-Eurovision
This will not be the first performance after his Eurovision drama. Joost already had a show in the Netherlands last Sunday. The singer performed at the Freshtival in Enschede and although he didn’t say anything about what happened, he did drop a cryptic Insta Story with the text: “Love always wins”.
What went wrong at the Eurovision Song Contest?
Just a small recap for those who missed it: the singer, who would represent the Netherlands with the song Europapa, was involved in an incident with a camerawoman during the rehearsals of the Eurovision Song Contest. And the woman then reported threats. Joost’s lawyer claims that the singer had pushed the camera away, but denies that he made threats.
No criminal offenses
Since Joost only allegedly pushed the camera, both Joost and his lawyer are adamant that the singer is not guilty of any criminal offences. His lawyer also shared this message of innocence with Swedish media, including SVT. Although the Swedish police previously indicated that the Swedish Public Prosecution Service will probably prosecute Joost, his lawyer remains optimistic about the outcome of the police investigation. Swedish media report that this investigation is still ongoing, but a provisional trial date has already been set for early June.
