On September 5, you shouldn’t ask Queen Mary to come visit. She has reserved that day for the National Flag Day of the Danish army. Yesterday she was also present, together with her husband and private secretary. The latter’s choice of clothing was one of the ‘remarkable’ category.
The Queen had chosen a dark blue dress and matching hat for the formal occasion. Light accessories and a strikingly large handbag completed the look.
The private secretary, Henriette Ellermann – Kingombe, in turn chose a blue and white dress that looked very familiar. Queen Mary had worn the dress by Moss & Spy (there you go again!) five years earlier, during a trip to the US.
Did she lend it to Henriette or did both ladies happen to make the same purchase? I’m guessing the former, because it’s certainly not the first time we see intimates in old(er) clothes of Mary. Sisters and friends are always welcome to drop by for something nice and if something is really out of fashion, it’s sold in a vintage shop in Copenhagen.
