While King Charles and Queen Camilla visited the first day of the Chelsea Flower Show to admire the beautiful gardens, we learned a surprising detail about Camilla. She turns out to be a big fan of the popular Netflix series Bridgerton!

During the royals’ visit to the show, we get a special glimpse into their highness’ guilty TV pleasures. During the outing, the couple visited a garden inspired by the hit Netflix show Bridgerton. What seems? Camilla is a big fan! Excuse us? We knew that our Camilla has good taste on many fronts, but this revelation takes the cake.
We may have devoured the first half of season three in record time, but Camilla also found an opening in her royal agenda for this. During the tour of the garden, which is based on Penelope Featherington, played by Nicola Coughlan, she proudly admitted: “I watched the first play.”
That must have been enriching for the Queen, to take a look at the garden that the designers brought to life by highlighting Penelope’s personal journey. In this way, the planting reflects “feelings of secrecy, growth and desire”. Completely in line with the popular series!
Favorite radio show
It is not the first time that we have been given an insight into the leisure activities of Charles and Camilla. It was previously announced that the couple gave each other nicknames from their favorite radio comedy program. Where a nickname is normally created by someone else and given to the person, C&C came up with one themselves.
During their torturing days, they started calling themselves Fred and Gladys. These names originated from the British radio comedy program Goon Show, which ran from 1951 to 1960. It was reportedly Charles’s initiative, as he was a big fan of the show. Camilla even wore a bracelet with the initials FG. Ha! Perhaps we can also expect a nickname in the form of a Bridgerton character soon…
