The prince briefly mentioned that Catherine is doing a bit better.
Princess Kate has of course been out of the picture for a long time and it is now known that she will not be present at the rehearsal of Trooping The Colour. Fortunately, there is William, who finally tells us more about how Catherine is doing.
Peace
Kensington Palace previously indicated that they will not share messages about Kate as long as there is no news. In the meantime, she has been spotted in the supermarket, and she has occasionally been spotted with William in Windsor. The theories that the princess has ‘disappeared’ are therefore a real piece of cake. Kate simply needs the necessary rest, something we can understand all too well.
Update
And while we all assumed no news would come out about Kate, Prince William gave a little update on his wife’s health last Wednesday during the D-Day commemoration. For example, one of the veterans asked the prince how Kate is doing.
William told the veteran that Kate is “doing a little better” and that she “would have loved to be there.” He also said that Kate’s grandmother served in Bletchley during the Second World War as a codebreaker. “So she would have had a lot in common with some of the other ladies here who served at Bletchley,” he added.
Emotional
In addition to Willliam, King Charles and Queen Camilla were also present during the commemoration. The royal couple appeared overcome with emotion as Charles paid tribute to the ‘courage, resilience and solidarity’ of the D-Day veterans.
Photos even show a tear in the king’s face. “The stories of courage, resilience and solidarity that we have heard today, and throughout our lives, cannot help but move us, inspire us and remind us that we owe it to that great war generation.”
