1. Christmas cocktail of cranberries and champagne

When you think of a festive drink, you probably think of champagne. But why not change up your bubbly this season by adding some extra ingredients? This recipe is ideal as a drink during the Christmas holidays.

This is what you need:

  • Grand Marnier liqueur
  • cranberry juice*
  • Champagne, chilled (or Prosecco)
  • frozen cranberries

Preparation:

Pour 1 part Grand Marnier (1 part = 25 ml) and 2 parts cranberry juice into the champagne glasses and top up with champagne. Add some frozen cranberries, these will also keep the cocktail cold a little longer. Your cocktail is ready to drink.

2. Christmas scroppino

Scroppino is a tasty drink in itself, but this version is ideal as a Christmas cocktail. You drink it before, during or after dinner and it has a beautiful, red Christmas appearance. An ideal Christmas cocktail.

This is what you need:

  • 20 ml grenadine
  • 2 scoops of lemon sorbet ice cream
  • 60 ml sparkling wine / prosecco
  • 30ml vodka
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • garnish: currants

Preparation:

Pour 15 ml of grenadine into your champagne glass to get the beautiful red layer. Place two scoops of lemon ice cream in your blender, then add vodka (30 ml), sparkling wine (60 ml) and 20 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice – blend until nice and smooth. Use the flat side of a bar spoon to carefully pour over the chilled Grenadine so you get that nice color separation; be careful not to stir too much or all those gorgeous colors will melt together. Finish by garnishing with some delicious red berries. Cheers and enjoy.

3. Amaretto Sour

If you love macaroons, then this Christmas cocktail is for you. Amaretto tastes like macaroons. The fresh taste of citrus gives this drink a fresh aftertaste.

This is what you need:

  • 300 ml Amaretto
  • 200 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp sugar syrup
  • 4 egg whites
  • 12 ice cubes
  • crushed ice

Preparation:

Place 3 ice cubes in a shaker and add 1 tablespoon of sugar syrup and 50 ml of squeezed lemon juice. Add half of the egg white and 75 ml Amaretto. Shake this mixture well. Place some crushed ice in a nice glass and pour the drink into it. Garnish with a curl of lemon peel or orange peel.
