Celebrating Christmas with friends? That’s how you do that!

Merry Christmas! Today is Christmas Day. As a tradition, we usually celebrate Christmas with our families. But our friends are also important people in our lives, so it’s not surprising to want to spend these holidays with them too. Do you and your friends want to celebrate Christmas together this year? This is how you do it.

Everyone make something to eat

Of course, the holidays require delicious food. A Christmas celebration is not complete without Christmas dinner. When your friends come over, you can ask them to all make something to eat and bring it with them. For example, someone can take care of the dessert, someone else can make an appetizer and someone else provides the drinks. This way you divide the tasks and make the organization a lot less stressful for yourself. This also makes the Christmas dinner a lot more surprising.

Make festive drinks

Of course, a festive meal is not possible without festive drinks. For example, make a special Christmas cocktail or add edible glitter to your drinks to make them extra festive. Cheerful drinks are always fun for photo opportunities too!

@diycocktailguy 11/50 cocktails of Christmas. Let’s make a Candy Cane Martini! This one was so delicious and sweet! Recipe/ingredients In your shaker add plenty of ice 45mls or 1.5oz Vodka 60mls or 2oz Cranberry Juice 45mls or 1.5oz Pineapple Juice (this helps with sweetness & gives the drink a lighter candy cane like color. I really enjoyed it in this one) 30mls or 1oz Lime Juice A couple drops of peppermint extract (you can use peppermint schnapps or White Crème de Menthe for the peppermint taste) Shake all together and strain into your garnished candy cane glass. Add in some sparkly editable glitter for ultimate Christmas effect! Enjoy #cocktails30sec #christmas #christmascocktails #fyp ♬ original sound – luhvrlyrics

Make a playlist together

What else does a party need? Music of course. Create a playlist that your friends can add music to. This way you get a nice mix of different types of Christmas songs. Mariah Carey is of course nice, but a little variety is certainly not undesirable.

We give gifts in style

If you only decided today that you want to celebrate Christmas together, it may already be a little too late for presents. But if you have been planning this for some time, giving presents is an indispensable part of the evening. You could draw lots and give everyone a personal gift, or opt for universal gifts. If you have chosen the second option, you can divide the presents through a game. This way you keep the evening fun and active! If all friends present are over 18, a drinking game is also an option.

Don’t forget the decorations

Finally, the party is only really complete when you have beautiful festive decorations. Think of candles, lights, a beautiful tablecloth and other Christmas-like decorations. If you don’t have that many decorations yourself, you and your friends can always split the roles. One person takes care of the lights, someone else takes care of the tablecloth and so on. This way you can really make your Christmas celebration your own!
