Royals hop from shoe brand to shoe brand. In 2010 Louboutin was the favorite, in 2013 LK Bennett and nowadays Gianvito Rossi is the favorite. But amid all the throne changes, Jimmy Choo shoes appear to be a permanent fixture. A good reason for our shoe blogger Linda van Deventer to put the brand in the spotlight.
Linda: “In 1985, the originally Malaysian shoemaker Jimmy Choo started his own shoe label. He involved his niece, Sandra Choi, in his brand and from that moment on – it was 1996 – the brand became a great success. His boutique in London is visited by Princess Diana, among others, she becomes a loyal customer, befriends the designer and ensures that the brand becomes extremely popular.
Shoe designer Jimmy Choo with a Diana slingback:
In the following years, Jimmy Choo expanded to America and became even more famous thanks to the popular series Sex and the City.
The current generation of royals also knows their way to the shoe brand. Princess Catherine is known for her modest clothing style, but make no mistake: Catherine also really likes a platform and/or frosting from time to time and likes to choose Jimmy Choo.

She also has beautiful velvet pumps from Jimmy Choo in her closet:

Meghan also has a velvet pair from Jimmy Choo in her closet:
Our own Queen Maxima also has a number of Jimmy Choos in her shoe closet. You can judge for yourself whether this is a success. I would say, buy a size bigger, Your Majesty:

Amalia has now also been spotted with the above pair.

There is even a pair of Jimmy Choo’s called Maxima, I wonder if it will appeal to our queen. We have not yet seen our queen in this heel height, perhaps it is a secret wish of the designer😉

The Spanish Letizia is also familiar with the shoe brand and has many (striking) pairs in her closet:
In the new Nouveau, Laurentien wears a variation on Letizia’s Jimmy Choos.

Princess Victoria also knows where to find the shoe brand:

Just like her sister, who has these Lisha pumps from the brand. Look at these beauties:
The brand also has sneakers, sunglasses, jewelry and bags, including clutches. Here is a clutch worn by Letizia of Spain:

Mary and Marie from Denmark are regularly spotted wearing classic pumps from this brand.
And the list certainly doesn’t end there. If you’re a royal, you have a pair of Jimmy Choos. This also applies to Rania of Jordan. Here on the striking Houry model:
Queen Mathilde should of course not be missing from the list of royals, she also has the brand in her royal wardrobe:

And her daughter, Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, has also been spotted wearing pumps from the brand:

In short, the brand is an indispensable part of the spacious wardrobe. What do you think of this (shoe) brand?”
