The princess can now continue to recover at home.
Good news from Kensington Palace: Kate has been released from hospital. The princess underwent successful abdominal surgery on January 16 and is now returning home after thirteen days of rest.
Abdominal surgery
It was quite a shock two weeks ago: out of nowhere, Kensington Palace announced that Kate had been admitted to hospital. “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to the London Clinic yesterday for a planned abdominal operation,” the statement read. Fortunately, the court was immediately able to reassure us somewhat with the news that the operation had been successful.
Back to Windsor
Kensington Palace already indicated at the time that Kate would spend ten to fourteen days in hospital to recover. That period is now over, the court said. “The Princess of Wales has returned to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery,” reads a new statement on William and Kate’s official Instagram profile. “It goes well with her.”

Acknowledgment
The statement ends with a word of thanks. “The Prince and Princess would like to thank the entire team at The London Clinic, and especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they provided,” Kensington Palace wrote. “The Wales family is grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”
Very nice to hear that the princess is doing well. It must be a huge relief for Wills and the kids that she is back home. Hopefully she will take all the time and space to recover properly. Strength again on behalf of Glamial!
