You can finally get excited again and even languish a little! For the first time since 2007, Germany is hosting a major handball event as the sole host. The European Championship started in Berlin on Wednesday and our DHB stars have a really good chance of being at the forefront this time. Coach Alfred Gíslason put together a top team for the title fight. And the boys are all impressive!
They’re sure to make some hearts beat faster. There is, for example Andreas Wolff (33) – he has been one of the top performers among German handball players for several years. Also Rune Dahmke (30) is certainly very popular with female viewers. Julian Köster (23) is sure to turn many heads with his two meter height and his charming smile. Just like Juri Knorr and John Golla (26). But sorry ladies – almost all men are happily married!
The DHB men clearly won the start of the European Championships. In the first game they met Switzerland and didn’t give their opponent the slightest chance. The game ended 27:14 for the German team.
